DENTON, Texas – The UT Arlington volleyball team (13-9) will travel to Denton to take on the North Texas Mean Green (1-4) for a Thursday night tilt inside the North Texas Volleyball Center. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m.

UTA NOTES
- This season, the Mavericks rank 3^nd in digs per set in the SBC (18.17/set), while also ranking 5^th in the conference in assists (11.91/set), kills (12.87) and hitting percentage (.195).
- Brooke Townsend leads the team in kills (242) and kills per set (3.03) kills per set, which ranks 9^th in the Sun Belt. Townsends 242 kills ranks 7th nationally.
- Defensive Player of the Year Alli Wells leads the nation in total digs (514) and is ranked 13th in digs per set (5.98). Both of those numbers put her at the top of the Sun Belt rankings.
- The Mavericks have become a stout team defensively, ranking 25th in the NCAA in digs per set (18.17).
-  The Mavericks will be without two-sport athlete Michaela Wright this spring as she finishes her season with the women's basketball team. Wright currently leads the team and has the 13^th most blocks in the nation (62).
- Mollie Blank ranks 5^th in the nation in total service aces (24), while Alli Wells ranks 9^th (23).
- Mollie Blank ranks 14th in the nation with 475 total assists. She set a career-high of 53 assists last Friday against Tarleton State.
 
KNOW YOUR OPPONENT | NORTH TEXAS
- North Texas is 1-4 overall this season and 0-2 in Conference USA play. Their lone win came against SFA in October but have not won a match this spring.
- Alyssa Johnson leads the Mean Green in attack percentage, connecting on .460 percent of her attacks – 3^rd in C-USA.
- Rhett Robinson has a team-high 75 kills (3.75 k/s).  She also leads North Texas with 218 total attacks, 70 more than the next closest player (Barbara Martin)
- Kaileigh Skopal keeps the Mean Green offense rolling, averaging 7.75 assists per set and has a total of 155 assists.
- The Mavs hold a 36-8 record against North Texas, including winning 30 straight from 1979 to 1993. UTA is 12-4 when playing in Denton, but has not won in Denton since 2008.

2021 SPRING SCHEDULE
UTA is scheduled to play 7 non-conference matches this spring beginning Jan. 29 and ending March 6.  Six of the seven will be on the road, with the home match coming March 5^th against Big 12 and DFW foe TCU.

Feb. 5-6: at Tarleton State (Stephenville, Texas)
Feb. 11: at North Texas (Denton, Texas)
March 5: vs TCU (College Park Center)
March 6: at TCU (Fort Worth, Texas)
