DALLAS, Texas --- The UT Arlington women's tennis team completed the first day of the Southern Methodist University (SMU) Invitational on Friday afternoon at the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex, highlighted by a pair of singles victories for Tara Gorinsek and Sarina Reinertsen over their opponents from Arkansas.
 
Liz Chileno and Nika Novikova also produced singles victories for the Mavericks while two of the three doubles teams won as Gorinsek and Chileno teamed up to defeat SMU 6-2 while Bruna Casasampere and Novikova knocked off Wichita State 6-3.
 
The second day of the event began Saturday morning at 9 a.m. with the final day scheduled for Sunday.
