ARLINGTON, Texas – UT Arlington's Morgan Rios led the Mavericks to a 3-2 victory over ULM Friday night in extra innings courtesy of a walk-off home run in the bottom of the tenth inning.

The Mavericks went head-to-head with the Warhawks as UTA ultimately came out on top to take game one of the three-game series after a stellar performance in the circle from freshman righty Jessica Adams.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: vs. ULM (W, 3-2)
Catcher Morgan Rios paced UTA's offense going 3-5 at the plate with a solo home run – her third on the year. KJ Murphy trailed Rios closely with two hits and 2 RBI as the graduate student was responsible for the two runs that tied things up in the bottom of the fifth.

Jadyn Erickson (1-4), Meagan Smith (1-4), Aaliyah White (1-3) and Jessica Carreon (1-3) all contributed to the Mavs' nine hits on the night.

The Mavericks relied solely on the arm of freshman Adams as the right-hander threw a complete game across 10 innings. Adams reached a new game-high of 41 batters faced as she only allowed one walk.

The 3-2 defeat over the Warhawks gave Adams her eighth win of the season improving her record to 8-9.

PLAY BY PLAY: vs. ULM (W, 3-2)

The Warhawks took an early 1-0 lead in their first at-bats as a sacrifice fly to left field plated their first run of the game.
ULM extended their lead 2-0 in the fourth after a Maverick error allowed for ULM's Lourdes Bacon to come across.
UTA was scoreless through the first four innings before Murphy knocked an RBI-double to right center that scored Cavazos and Erickson to tie the game up 2-2.
The game went into extra innings up until the bottom of the 10th inning with one out when Rios ended the game with a walk-off home run.
Adams earned her eighth win in the circle as the Mavs defeated the Warhawks 3-2 to take game one of the series.
