ABILENE, Texas - The UT Arlington baseball team (11-21) is set to take on Abilene Christian (15-17) for its second contest of the season against the Wildcats on Tuesday at 6:05 at Crutcher Scott Field in Abilene.

UTA NOTES
- UTA has been able to jump out early this season, scoring 42 runs within the first two innings - good for over 25 percent of their runs scored on the season.
- After tossing over 33 innings of relief in his career, the Mavericks will be turning to Jack Hagan for his first career start against ACU. In just 21.1 IP this spring, Hagan has struck out 18 batters and has one win to his name in relief effort.
- The Mavericks are now 9-1 on the season when they are leading after six innings. Â However, when trailing, that record flips to 1-18 on the year.
- In the few chances they've had this season, left handed starters have not fared well against the Mavericks lineup this season. When UTA faces a left-handed starter, the Mavericks are 3-0 on the season.
- UTA has been hit by pitches more times than any other team in the Sun Belt Conference. Â The 52 times the Mavericks have been hit by a pitch is the 19th most in the NCAA this season. Last Wednesday against Tarleton, UTA was hit seven times.
- Zach Henry enter the game with an 11-game on-base streak attached to his name - tied for the second longest of the season (Wilson Galvan, Nick Pierce). Â Henry also owns the longest reached base streak on the team this season, going 13 straight games earlier in the season.
KNOW YOUR OPPONENT | ACU
- ACU enters the contest at 15-17 overall, but have lost five straight games. The Wildcats were swept by Sam Houston over the weekend.
- The Wildcats hits 11 home runs in a game earlier this season and are currently 41st in the NCAA with 43 home runs on the year.
- Colton Eager leads the WAC and is 18th in the NCAA with 14 doubles on the year, just four behind the national leaders.
- The Wildcats are aggressive on the base path, stealing 41 bags on the season. That number leads the WAC this season.
SERIES HISTORY
This will be the second meeting between the Wildcats and Mavericks this season with UTA taking the first game 14-2 in Arlington. Â The Mavericks lead the all-time series 22-10, but just 8-4 since ACU joined NCAA Division I. This will be the last game of the season between the future conference foes.
