UTA Basketball 2022-23 Season Ticket Deposits Now Open

ARLINGTON – On the heels of one of the most exciting years of UT Arlington basketball, season ticket deposits for the 2022-23 Mavericks and Lady Mavs seasons are already being accepted.

This is the first opportunity the general public has to secure a seat(s) in the state-of-the-art College Park Center as UTA ushers in a new era by joining the Western Athletic Conference this upcoming year.

With a one-time deposit of only $50/ticket per team, fans can lock in their season ticket(s):
  • The deposit guarantees all renewing season-ticket holders the same seat(s) as the 2021-22 season, and/or will put them in line for a potential upgrade or change in location, if desired.
  • For all new season-ticket purchasers, the deposit gives priority toward all remaining seat allocations.
Click here to make your deposit today. All deposit payment(s) will be applied to the final total ticket purchase amount later this year as season-ticket prices for 2022-23 have yet to be announced. Tickets will officially go on sale later this summer, with more information to be posted on UTAMavs.com and UTATickets.com.

The Lady Mavs are coming off arguably their best season in program history, claiming the Sun Belt Conference Championship and battling 3rd-seeded Iowa State in the NCAA Tournament in Ames, eventually falling just eight points shy of becoming the first 14 seed in NCAA history to ever win a game in the tournament.

During the 20-8 season, UTA claimed the program's first-ever win over a ranked opponent, defeating No. 13 South Florida, 61-56, on Dec. 2, 2021. In just her second season with the Lady Mavs, head coach Shereka Wright was named Sun Belt Coach of the Year, in addition to also garnering Texas Coach of the Year by Dave Campbell's Texas Basketball.

Junior Starr Jacobs earned Sun Belt Player of the Year after becoming the first player in Lady Mavs history to average 20 points per game or more (21). Jacobs also scored 28 points in each of UTA's three tourney games in Pensacola to be named Sun Belt Tournament MVP.

On the men's side, longtime assistant/associate head coach Greg Young completed his first season at the helm of a program which had considerable roster turnover but blended together in conference play to start 4-1 after facing one of the most challenging non-league schedules in the nation.

UTA had the 13th-hardest non-conference strength of schedule in 2021-22, and that prefaced a tough Sun Belt slate as every single one of the Mavs' losses came by 10 points or less and only by an average of 5.6.

David Azore landed on the Sun Belt First Team after leading the league in scoring in conference games at 23.9 – nearly five points better than anyone else. Azore was responsible for the three highest-scoring games in Sun Belt play this past season with 37, 36 and 33.

Both the Mavs and Lady Mavs 2022-23 non-conference and conference schedules are still being finalized and will be announced as dates are confirmed. UTA will officially join the WAC on July 1, 2022.
