DAYTONA BEACH, FL – With a solid showing at the Sun Belt Conference Championship, UT Arlington's
Heidrun Hlynsdottir tied for 2nd-place individually after rounds of 71-74-76 from LPGA International.
Hlynsdottir finish 2nd - tied with Georgia Southern's Mia Kness – with a 221 54-hole total. This marks the junior's best finish this year and her third top-10 performance after finishing 7th back at the ORU Spring Invitational last week and tied for 6th at the Little Rock Golf Classic back in October of 2021.
UTA brought its 2021-22 season to a close after the Mavericks tied for 8th-place overall, along with Little Rock, despite a strong opening round. Unfortunately, a final-round 311 team-total caused the Mavs to slip away from a potential 5th-place finish after Tuesday's second round.

INSIDE THE SCORES
Hlynsdottir
- Hlynsdottir had a rocky start through her first seven holes as a trio of bogeys and a triple on 11 set her back +6. However, she would be able to card back-to-back birdies on 17 and 18 which set her up nicely before entering the front nine – her back nine. The junior capped the round of 74 with her third birdie of the round coming on 2.
Murray
- Murray capped a final-round 78 as she produced a 40 (+4) on the back side – her front side. The graduate student wasn't able to gain any momentum over the final round as she played the closing nine in +6. However, she would be able to card 12 pars.
Garber
- Garber struggled throughout her final round as she tabbed an 84. The graduate student could not find any momentum as she was +9 before entering the front nine – her back nine. Unfortunately, nothing changed across the closing nine as she was able to close with a birdie on 9.
Howard
- Howard produced a 39 (+3) – the best of the Mavs – with a birdie on 11. The senior tabbed just two bogeys over the final nine to cap the round of 77. Along with her lone birdie of the round, Howard would be able to record 11 pars.
Tan
- Tan opened with a bogey on 10 before carding four additional bogeys on 12, 15, 16 and 18 which put her card 5-over before making the turn. The senior rolled an unfortunate triple on 5 that led to a final-round 80
