CONWAY, SC - Looking to get back on track, the UT Arlington baseball team (11-26, 4-11 SBC) will travel to South Carolina to take on Coastal Carolina in a three-game Sun Belt Conference series set to begin on Friday (April 22). All three games will be aired on ESPN+.

UTA NOTES
- UTA is the most hit team in the Sun Belt Conference this season, getting plunked 56 times. That number is also the 39th most in the NCAA. Zach Henry leads the team and has been hit nine times this season.
- The Mavericks are now 9-1 on the season when they are leading after six innings. Â However, when trailing, that record flips to 1-20 on the year.
- In the few chances they've had this season, left handed starters have not fared well against the Mavericks lineup this season. When UTA faces a left-handed starter, the Mavericks are 3-0 on the season.
- Tanner King has limited his free bases this season and is second in the SBC in strikeout-to-walk ratio at 6.38 strikeout for every walk. The 6.38:1 ration is the 34th best in the NCAA. Over his last three starts he has struck out 24 batters and walked just two.
- Cason Gregory and Tyler Rice are two of the hardest batters to strikeout in the Sun Belt Conference. Rice ranks first, striking out once every 12.0 at-bats (29th in NCAA), while Gregory is third, striking out once every 10.3 at-bats (66th in NCAA).
KNOW YOUR OPPONENT | COASTAL CAROLINA
- The Chanticleers are entering the weekend with a 19-14-1 record overall and 8-6-1 Sun Belt Conference record. They are coming off a series sweep over App State last weekend.
- Tyler Johnson leads Coastal Carolina offensively and is slashing .365/.433/706 on the season. He is second on the team with 7 home runs, eight doubles, 25 RBI and 60 total bases.
- Austin White leads the Sun Belt with 22 stolen bases on the season and is ranked 11th in the NCAA
- The Chanticleers have used sacrifice hits to their advantage this season, ranking 17th in the nation in sacrifice bunts (24) and 11th in the nation in sacrifice hits (23).
SERIES HISTORY
This is the 12th meeting between the two teams and will be the final meeting as Sun Belt opponents. The two programs have never played a regular season game at Springs Brooks Stadium but did play a pair of SBC Tournament games in 2019, both winning one game.
