This is the 20th meeting between the Texans and Mavericks, but just the third since Tarleton became a Division I school. This will be a preview against a future WAC opponent as the Mavericks will switch conferences in the 2022-23 academic year. UTA won the previous game earlier this year at Tarleton, 16-13, in what would be Coach
Darin Thomas' 400th career win.
