ARLINGTON - Coming off a 7-5 win over Tarleton on Tuesday, the UT Arlington baseball team will look to start a winning streak as they welcome Arkansas State for a three-game series this weekend (April 29-May 1) at Clay Gould Ballpark.

UTA NOTES
- UTA is the most hit team in the Sun Belt Conference this season, getting plunked 64 times. That number is also the 35th most in the NCAA. Zach Henry leads the team and has been hit 11 times this season.Â
- Over the month of April, senior Boone Montgomery has risen his batting average by nearly 150 points. In the past 12 games, Montgomery has slashed .409/.458/.455 and has had five multi-hit performances.
- Transfer Oscar Ponce has been a driving force for the offense this season, leading the Mavericks with 25 RBI, nine more than the next closes Mavericks. He is also tied for the lead most multi-RBI games (5) and has the second most multi-hit games (9).
- Over his last six games played, Zach Henry has been hitting .550 and has had four multi-hit performances, including two three-hit games. He is slugging .950 with two home runs and two doubles, while sporting an on-base percentage of .609.

- Jared Toler is tied for ninth in the Sun Belt Conference with 8 home runs on the season.

SERIES HISTORY
This will be the last conference meeting between two schools who have met 93 previous times as the Mavericks move to the WAC starting July 1. UTA has won nine of the last ten games dating back to 2018 - the last time the Red Wolves visited Arlington.
