ARLINGTON – Following his first full season at the helm of the UT Arlington men's basketball program, head coach
Greg Young and the Mavericks have signed a pair of transfer products in Aaron Johnson-Cash and Taj Anderson.
Johnson-Cash comes off a season at Texas A&M, appearing in 37 games with one start and averaging 2.4 points per game and 3.0 boards. The 6-6 guard from San Francisco joined the Aggies after spending time at Grayson College, where he averaged 15.3 points per game.
A 6-4 guard, Anderson comes from Indian Hills Community College where he led the team in scoring with 13.0 points per game, earning NJCAA First Team All-Region and NJCAA All-American Honorable Mention honors.
"I am really excited about adding Taj and Aaron to our previous signees for this class," stated Young. "They both bring experience and high level big game experience to this first full recruiting class. We can't wait to bring everyone together."
More information about each signee, including thoughts from Young, are included below.

Young's Thoughts: "We are excited to welcome Aaron to our basketball family here at UT Arlington. Aaron is someone I was very familiar with during his one year at Grayson CC while playing for Scott Monarch. He was a very instrumental part in Texas A&M's run to the NIT Championship game this past season. Aaron can play multiple positions, and his skill and size fill a much-needed vacancy on our roster. He has played for good coaches at every level of college basketball and is an extremely energetic, athletic player with a big upside. Aaron will bring immediate leadership and experience and we are excited about having him part of our program."
