EUGUNE, Ore. – Rising sophomore Adeyemi Talabi is set to compete for Team Ireland in the 4x100m relay at the Track and Field World Outdoor Championships on Friday evening.

"It means a lot (to represent Ireland)." said Talabi. "I made it, I actually made it. Now I just have to perform and know I will be able to."

Talabi and teammates are scheduled to run in the semifinals on Friday at 7:40 p.m. CT at Hayward Field live on Peacock. Ireland will look to move to the finals of the 4x100 on Saturday evening at 9:30 p.m. CT on NBC.
 
The Irish team punched their tickets to Eugene on June 30, 2022 in Sweden at the Bauhau-Galan as they finished third in the 4x100 with a time of 44.25 with Talabi serving as the final leg.
 
Talabi was an All-American selection earlier this year on the Mavs 4x100 team. Along with Iyana Gray, Tatyana Terrell, and Vanessa Ugorji, the team finished 20th with a time of 44.92 to earn All-American honors.

Gray was selected to represent Team USA late last week at the World Junior Championships in Colombia next month.
