ARLINGTON, Texas – The UT Arlington softball program has announced the addition of transfer Paris Brienesse who will join the team for the upcoming spring season.

The sophomore from Seward County Community College logged a strong freshman year campaign with a .311 batting average. Appearing in 51 games, Brienesse collected 37 hits, 20 stolen bases and 12 RBI.  

The Stockholm, Sweden native is joining the Mavericks after competing on the Swedish Softball National Team U18 from 2019-2021 and is currently a member of the U22 age group. With the national team, she participated in the 2021 (U18) and 2022 (U22) European Championships. Also, the sophomore won gold in the 2019 U18 Swedish Softball Championships and bronze in 2020.

HIGH SCHOOL 

Attended Stockholms Idrottsgymnasium in Sweden…was named Female Athlete and Shield of the Year in 2021…played for Enkoping Softball outside of high school.
