The Mavs are coming off straight-set win over California Baptist on Saturday in which Brianna Ford registered 25 kills, 11 digs and three blocks while hitting .561. In doing so, she established a new season high for terminations, matched her career high and set a new rally era program record for most in a three-set match.

With the victory, UTA also elevated themselves into a tie for fifth place in the WAC standings with CBU. ACU, meanwhile, enters Thursday's outing with a 4-2 record, which means the Mavs can at least jump into a tie for fourth place with a win on Thursday.

SERIES HISTORY
UTA and Abilene Christian have met 15 times in a series history that dates back to October 1973. The Mavs won the first eight in the series after the teams battled to a 1-1 tie in their debut matchup. The two teams have split their past six outings with UTA winning the past two, which came last year. Interestingly, only four of the 15 matches have been in Arlington, and the Mavs are undefeated in those – including a five-set win on Oct. 20 last year.

WELLS MOVES CLOSER TO 2,000 DIGS
Graduate libero Alli Wells added 14 more digs to her tally in Saturday's win over California Baptist, which pushed her career total to 1,914. With eight more, she will move into second place on the program's career list, jumping Ashley Smith (1,921, 2003-06).

The top spot is held by Alicia Shaffer (2,033, 2008-11), which means she resides just 86 digs shy of becoming just the second player in program history to reach 2,000 in a career. On top of that, should she eclipse the milestone, Wells would become just the ninth active player in NCAA Division I volleyball with at least 2,000.

Wells sits just seven matches shy of 100 with double-digit digs. In last year's home matchup against Abilene Christian, she tallied 33 digs, which was one of eight 30+ dig performances from the Waxahachie native.

NATIONAL LEADERS
The Mavs currently lead the conference in assists per set (12.92), kills per set (14.11) and attacks per set (35.94) as a team. Meanwhile, they rank eighth nationally in kills per set and 13th in assists per set.

Individually, Brianna Ford ranks 33rd in points per set, 37th in kills per set, 39th in total points and 41st in total kills. Alli Wells ranks 76th in total digs and 83rd in digs per set.

CLIMBING THE CHART
Brianna Ford enters Thursday's match with 1,063 career kills, which is nine shy of surpassing Torie Dacus (1,071, 2004-07) for 17th place on the program's all-time list. This past Saturday, the Amarillo native recorded her eighth double-double of the season. With her 25 kills, she also now has 61 career matches with double-digit terminations.
