ARLINGTON, TEXAS --- The UT Arlington volleyball team (13-5, 2-3 WAC) will host California Baptist (10-6, 3-2 WAC) on Saturday at noon inside the College Park Center.
It will be the second-ever meeting between the two programs as the Lancers produced a four-set win in Arlington last year. On Saturday, both teams will look to bounce back from a Thursday loss as the Mavs fell at home to Grand Canyon while CBU fell to SFA on the road.
For UTA fans, it will be camper reunion day with a poster giveaway, and there will be a post-match autograph session with the team.
WELLS INCHES CLOSER TO HISTORY
Graduate libero
Alli Wells continued her climb toward the program's all-time digs record on Thursday as she produced a match-high 21 digs against Grand Canyon. In doing so, she became the third player to reach the 1,900 milestone, which she sits at exactly, while surpassing Amber Pack (1,887, 1999-02) for third on the program's all-time list. The only two ahead of her now are Alicia Shaffer (2,033, 2008-11) and Ashley Smith (1,921, 2003-06).
THE TERMINATOR
Brianna Ford, who was honored on Thursday with a pre-match ceremony for reaching 1,000 career kills, has pushed her all-time total to 1,038 following a team-high 15 along with 11 digs on Thursday against GCU. It was her team-best seventh double-double of the season, and it was also her seventh match with at least 15 terminations this year. On top of that, it was her 60th career outing with double-digit kills. In terms of the program's all-time list, she is 10 terminations shy of moving past Jackie Bennett (1,047, 1985-88) for 18th place.

California Baptist currently sits in a tie with Abilene Christian for fourth place in the conference standings entering Saturday's action, while the Mavs are tied with Tarleton and Utah Tech for sixth.
