ARLINGTON – New UT Arlington men's basketball head coach KT Turner will be formally introduced as the 10th head coach in program history at a press conference from the College Park Center on Monday, Mar. 27, at 2 p.m.
 
The press conference is open to the general public, and will take place in the CPC Hospitality Suite. Free parking will be available on the lower level of the Park South Garage (550 S. Center St.), with the public entering the arena through Gate 3. Media information will be sent separately.
 
Following the conclusion of the press conference, complimentary refreshments will be served.
 
For those unable to be in attendance, the press conference will be streamed live on UTAMavs.com/watch and will be made available for viewing on demand.
 
Turner, 44, just concluded his time as an assistant coach with Kentucky – hired by John Calipari to keep the Wildcats' Texas recruiting flowing – and that came on the heels of one season each as an associate head coach at Oklahoma (2021-22) and Texas (2020-21).
 
Prior to his time in Austin, Turner – whose first name is Kenneth – spent seven years on the SMU sidelines from 2013-20, the last four of which were in an associate head coaching role. In 2012-13, Turner was an assistant coach for Wichita State, helping the Shockers post a 30-9 record and reach the Final Four – the first for the program since 1965.
