ARLINGTON - UT Arlington softball head coach Kara Dill has announced the addition of Hill College transfer Mallory Stone that is set to join UTA for the upcoming 2023-24 season.

The middle infielder is coming off a strong redshirt freshman season as she finished with a team-high 51 RBI, 57 hits and 17 home runs. Stone logged the fourth-best batting average on the team of .313, coming away with 15 multi-hit efforts. In conference play alone, the Grand Prairie native ranked 1st in games played (32), 5th in home runs (11) and 6th in at-bats (106).

"Mallory's work ethic and versatility will be a great addition to our roster," said Dill. "She will be exciting to watch in a Maverick uniform and her speed will help us compete for a WAC Championship."

Across two seasons and 66 total games played in a Rebel uniform, Stone brings a strong bat to UTA's lineup with a .304 career-batting average, 62 hits, 18 home runs and 53 RBI.

AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN AT HILL COLLEGE (2023)
Appeared in 56 games…accumulated 57 hits in 182 at-bats for a .313 batting average…finished with an impressive 17 home runs with three coming from multi-home run efforts…logged a total of 15 multi-RBI games, leading to 51 total on the season…was responsible for every single run in the 7-6 win over North Central Texas (Mar. 22) which marked the most RBIs in a single game…concluded the season with a .337 on-base percentage and .655 slugging percentage.
 
AS A FRESHMAN AT HILL COLLEGE (2022)
Played in 10 games as a true freshman…tabbed a .227 batting average going 5-22 at the plate…logged one home run against Navarro College (Feb. 21) in Hill College's 15-4 victory…recorded a pair of RBI and stolen bases with a .409 slugging percentage.

Born July 10, 2003…daughter of Brenda and Mark Stone…has three siblings – Darren, Jacquelyn and Mark…kinesiology major.
