STEPHENVILLE, TEXAS - The Western Athletic Conference leading UT Arlington volleyball team (23-2, 12-0 WAC) face off against the Tarleton State Texans (7-19, 2-11 WAC) at the Wisdom gym on Monday at 6 p.m. CT.
With a victory, the Mavs can win the WAC regular season title outright. The Mavs already clinched at least a share of the title with a win over Utah Valley on Saturday, along with the number one seed for the upcoming WAC Volleyball Tournament at the College Park Center from Nov. 21-23.
MATCH NOTES
- The Mavs are off to a 23-2 start, including 16 sweeps, and have the best record in the Western Athletic Conference. Additionally, the Mavs are on a fourteen-game win streak.
- Paige Reagor holds a hitting percentage of .418 which not only leads the Western Athletic Conference, but also ranks 14th in the nation.
- Brianna Ford continues to lead the conference in kills per set with a mark of 4.38, which also ranks 17th in the NCAA. Ford also leads the conference in points per set with a 5.21 clip, which ranks her 13th in the nation. Ford, who has 372 kills so far this season, is currently third all-time in program history with 1,657 kills, and is 72 kills away from being tied with Ana de Oliveira for the second most in UT Arlington history.
- Mollie Blank ranks first in the conference in assists per set with a strong mark of 10.53, which also ranks 18th in the country. Blank currently ranks eighth in the program record book with 3,279 assists throughout her career.
- As a team, the Mavericks lead the conference in hitting percentage (.275), assists per set (12.82), kills per set (13.80) and have held teams to a .156 hitting percentage.
- The Mavericks are one of five teams in the country with at least 23 wins.
- Samantha Glenn has put together 330 digs throughout the season for a mark of 3.79 digs per set, which ranks her sixth in the conference.
