LINEUP INFORMATION
  • Miya posted three-straight rounds of 77 this past week – just his second tournament of the season in which he didn't record an under-par round. With a scoring average of 73.4 over 15 rounds this year, the New Zealand native is a tenth of a stroke behind Cronje for the team lead. However, his three rounds in the 60s are the most on the Mavs, highlighted by a career-low 66 in the 2nd round of the Everett Buick GMC Classic in October.

  • Cronje's 73.3 scoring average over 18 rounds is the best on the Mavs as he and Kanth are the only UTA members to have teed it up in all six tournaments in 2023-24. The South African has seven par-or-better rounds to rank 2nd on the team. He is coming off a season-best T-14 finish at the Los Vaqueros Intercollegiate. Since opening his season with an 81, Cronje hasn't signed for anything higher than a 76, and his score has been used in the team total 17-straight rounds since that 81.

  • Kanth led the Mavs in Mexico with a T-12 showing, accentuated by a season-low-tying 68 in the 2nd round – the only round of the weather-impacted tournament for UTA, which finished 6th overall, that was in red figures. The Englishman boasts a team-most eight rounds of par or better this year, and his T-3 leaderboard placement at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational in October is the best by a Mav this season. He carries a 73.6 scoring average – right behind Cronje and Miya – for the 3rd best on the team this year across 18 rounds.

  • Miller enters action this week with a 74.3 scoring average in 15 rounds. The Kansas State grad transfer has a pair of par-or-better rounds this campaign, and his low round of 70 came in the 2nd round of the Argent Financial Classic in Louisiana in September. His score has been used in the team total in 14 of 15 rounds this year, and the one that wasn't was a 74.

  • Kato will be making his second appearance in the team lineup this year for UTA. He has also played as an individual in two events, and holds a 75.3 scoring average in those nine rounds with a low score of 70. The Japan native's best finish this year was T-15 as an individual at the Dallas Baptist Fall Classic in late October.
NEXT UP
UTA will have a month break before returning to action at the Grand Canyon Invitational hosted at the GCU Golf Course in Phoenix Mar. 12-13.
