ARLINGTON – The UT Arlington softball team dropped its final game of the four-day Maverick Invitational to Boise State as the Mavs fell 6-0 Monday from Allan Saxe Field.
UTA will look ahead to its third preseason tournament of the season after finishing with a 1-3 record over the weekend. Now, the Mavericks are 3-7 overall.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: vs. Boise State (L, 6-0)
The Mavericks pieced together just three hits in Monday's afternoon contest against the Broncos with freshmen, Cameron Cooper (1-2), Kaitlyn Sailor (1-3) and pinch-hitter Jacquelyn Adams (1-1) responsible.
Senior Gracie Bumpurs threw 3.1 innings for the Mavs, allowing four earned runs off four hits. Head coach Kara Dill brought in fellow righty Jessica Adams as she went on to finish the game.
Adams faced 14 Broncos while limiting their offense to one earned run and three hits.
