ARLINGTON, TEXAS – The UT Arlington Maverick baseball team will host the Oklahoma Sooners at Clay Gould Ballpark, this Wednesday, Mar. 13.

- Throughout last weekend's first conference series of the season, The Mavs were able to take the series against Utah tech two games to one. In Sundays game, JD Moreno batted 1.000, recording a hit in all three of his at bats, additionally, Caylon Dygert recorded his second hit of the year, raising his average to .500. The two-way freshman has already made his presence known on the mound, leading the Mavs in ERA (1.99) to go along with a WAC pitcher of the week.
- Ryan Black (.533) and Parker Airhart (.417) currently sit first and second on the Mavs in slugging percentage. Black also leads the Mavs in doubles with 6 and has recorded the only Maverick triple of the season so far. Airhart has a team-leading 3 homerun blasts on the season.
- UTA's 5.16 ERA as a team ranks 4th in the WAC. UT Arlington has allowed the fewest amount of walks allowed in the conference, as they have allowed just 41 batters to take a base on balls. The team's 41 allowed walks rank 6th in the NCAA.
- Ryan Black is the only Maverick who has stayed put in the batting lineup this season, manning the two hole. Black leads the team in doubles with 6, total bases with 32 and ranks 1st on the squad with 16 hits. Black has also only struck out 8 times this season, the lowest on the team (Min. 10 games played).
