ARLINGTON, TEXAS – The UT Arlington Maverick baseball team will face off against the Dallas Baptist Patriots in a midweek game at Clay Gould Ballpark in Arlington, Texas, Mar.26 at 6 p.m. The Mavs are coming in hot off of a series sweep against the SFA Lumberjacks this past weekend, with UTA scoring 36 runs in the three-game series, the most against a team in a season series in 14 years.

• The 36 total runs scored in the series against SFA are the most runs scored in a three-game series since 2010, where the Mavs put up 41 runs against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
• Last season, UTA fell to DBU in both of the games played, 3-14 (7 Inn.) and 10-13. The last Maverick win over the Patriots occurred on Feb. 25, 2020 with a 6-3 win in Arlington, Texas.
• In the conference series against ACU from Mar.15-17, the Mavs offense started to catch fire scoring 22 runs throughout the three-game series. Additionally, Caylon Dygert ranks 31st in the NCAA with a 1.25 mark and has allowed 0 walks in his previous 2 starts. UTA ranks 2nd in the NCAA in walks allowed per nine innings with an astonishing 2.86 rate. Additionally, the Mavs pitching staff have only allowed 65 walks throughout 24 games, which ranks 5th in the NCAA.
• The Mavs currently sit 4th in the WAC standings with a conference record of 6-3.
• During the series against SFA last weekend, Garrison Berkley went 5-for-12 with 2 RBIs, while fellow Mavericks Cason Gregory and Ryan Black each brought in 5 RBIs against the Lumberjacks.
