ARLINGTON, TX -- The UT Arlington volleyball team welcomes California Baptist to home turf tomorrow, Oct. 23 at 6 p.m. Thursday's match will feature 90s Night, highlighted by a 90s-themed costume contest, where the best-dressed attendee will win a prize.
MATCH NOTES
- Following Saturday's win over Utah Tech, the Mavericks now hold a 10-8 overall mark and a 2-4 record in conference play.
- The Mavs have collected six WAC weekly awards this season in Samantha Glenn being named WAC Libero of the Week (Sep 16, Sep 30, Oct 21) and Mira Ledermueller being named the WAC Setter of the Week (Sep 2, Sep 30, Oct 21).
- Currently, the Mavericks lead the Western Athletic Conference in aces per set (2.21), team digs (1,080) and team service aces (170).
- UT Arlington also ranks in the conference's top three in seven other categories – digs per set (No. 3, 14.03), match W-L percentage (No. 2, .556), opponent hitting percentage (No. 3, .170), team assists (No. 2, 825), team attacks per set (No. 3, 34.08), team kills (No. 2, 890) and team total attacks (No. 2, 2,624).
- UTA ranks at No. 2 in the NCAA for team services aces (170).
- In addition to this, the Mavs are ranked No. 5 in the country in aces per set (2.21).
- Glenn, this week's WAC Libero of the Week, currently leads the WAC in two categories: digs per set (4.25) and total digs (327).
- Alondra Hernandez leads the conference in service aces (31).
- Ledermueller, this week's WAC Setter of the Week, leads the conference in assists per set (8.56) and ranks second in total assists (642).
- Jalie Tritt leads the WAC in total attacks with 682.
- The Mavericks fill up most of the top-five in the conference in service aces: Hernandez (No.1, 31), Alexis Bull (No. 2, 30), Ledermueller (No. 3, 29) and Tritt (No. 5, 26).
