ARLINGTON, TX – The UT Arlington volleyball team travels to Abilene Christian for its second matchup of the season, set for tomorrow, Saturday, November 1 at 7 p.m. CT.
MATCH NOTES
- Following Thursday's loss to Tarleton State, the Mavericks now hold an 11-9 overall mark and drop to a 3-5 record in conference play.
- Earlier this season, Abilene Christian claimed a 3-1 victory over the Mavericks on UTA's home court. The Mavericks will look to even the season series as they head into Saturday's rematch in Abilene.
- The Mavs have collected seven WAC weekly awards this season in Samantha Glenn earning WAC Libero of the Week (Sep 16, Sep 30, Oct 21) and Mira Ledermueller being named WAC Setter of the Week (Sep 2, Sep 30, Oct 21, Oct 28).
- Currently, the Mavericks lead the Western Athletic Conference in aces per set (2.13) and team service aces (183).
- UT Arlington also ranks in the conference's top three in eight other categories – digs per set (No. 3, 14.21), match W-L percentage (No. 3, .550), opponent hitting percentage (No. 3, .171), team assists (No. 2, 936), team attacks per set (No. 3, 34.40), team digs (No. 2, 1,222), team kills (No. 2, 1,012) and team total attacks (No. 2, 2,958).
- UTA ranks fourth in the NCAA in team service aces (183).
- In addition to this, the Mavs are ranked eighth in the country in aces per set (2.13)
- Glenn currently leads the WAC in digs per set (4.26) and ranks second in total digs (366).
- Ledermueller ranks first in the WAC in assists per set (8.79) and second in total assists with 738. The junior also shares the WAC's first position in service aces with fellow teammate, Alondra Hernandez with 33.
- Hernandez and Ledermueller also share the third-place spot in the conference in aces per set (.39).
- Alexis Bull leads the conference in aces per set (.42). She also ranks third in service aces with 30.
- Jalie Tritt ranks first in the WAC in total attacks with 778.
