JACKSONVILLE, Florida – UT Arlington has officially accepted an invitation to join the Atlantic Sun as an affiliate member in the sport of men's tennis, the league office announced on Thursday. The addition of UTA Men's Tennis was approved by the ASUN Board of Directors.
"We are happy to have our UTA men's tennis program joining the ASUN," UT Arlington Director of the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics Jon Fagg said. "This new home for men's tennis will provide positive opportunities for our student-athletes to compete at a high level and continue to challenge for championships. It was important for us to find the right fit for our program and student-athletes and believe that we have found that with the ASUN."
The Mavericks men's tennis program will make the transition to their new league home during the 2026 spring season. A former Southland, Sun Belt and WAC member, UTA enters the ASUN with 10 regular season conference and nine tournament titles to go along with several superlatives across their time in the three conferences.
