NORMAN, Oklahoma - The UT Arlington baseball team (6-10) will face the No. 10 Oklahoma Sooners (17-2) in the final midweek matchup before conference play opens this Friday.
The Mavs hold an all-time record of 12-27 over the Sooners, including a 5-14 record on the road.
GAME NOTES
- Tyce Armstrong, a native of Conroe, Texas, leads the Mavs in homeruns (3), RBI (16), hits (20) total bases (33) and batting average (.313). The redshirt junior also went 4-for-4 in the Saturday win over Little Rock.
- Sophomore Caylon Dygert and senior Caden Noah each collected seven strikeouts to help propel the UT Arlington Mavericks over the UL Monroe Warhawks 8-2 on Friday, Mar. 7. The 14 strikeouts in the game are the most in a game by the Mavs pitching staff this season.
- Through the Mavs' first sixteen games, UTA has faced high-level opponents with a combined record of 147-119. The Mavericks' schedule ranks as the second toughest in the conference thus far, according to warrennolan.com.
