ARLINGTON, Texas - The UT Arlington baseball team (7-14, 1-2) will face the CBU Lancers (14-11, 2-1) in a conference series this weekend from Mar. 28-30, at Clay Gould Ballpark. 
 
The Mavs hold an all-time record of 7-2 over the Lancers, including a 2-1 record at home. 
 
GAME NOTES

• Tyce Armstrong, a native of Conroe, Texas, leads the Mavs in homeruns (5), RBI (19), hits (26) total bases (46) and batting average (.317). 
• Sophomore Nicholas Robb and senior Caden Noah pitched 10 innings of shutout ball against the Sacramento State Hornets on Saturday, Mar. 22. The duo allowed just four hits, a run while striking out ten batters.
• In conference play, the Mavs pitching staff leads the WAC with an astounding 1.98 ERA, allowing just six earned runs over the weekend. The staff also ranks second in walks allowed (5), third in hits (24) and fifth in strikeouts (24).
• On the offensive side, Jake Martinez and Xavier Melendez currently sit tied for fifth in the conference in batting average with a .500 line. 
• The Mavs rank second in the conference in double plays turned with 21 on the season, and lead conference play with three.
• The Mavs feature five true freshman and 23 additional newcomers on the 2025 roster.
• The Mavs were 14-9 last season when they scored first and were 13-2 when out-hitting their opponent. This season, the Mavs are 4-4 when scoring first and 4-1 when out-hitting the opponent.
• Last season, UTA held a record of 11-13 at Clay Gould Ballpark and held a record of 5-6 in their final 11 home games of the season. This season, the Mavs have opened up 5-5 at home.
