MONROE, Louisiana - The UT Arlington baseball team (3-6) will face the UL-Monroe Warhawks (5-7) in a three-game series from Mar. 7-9. 
 
The Mavs hold an all-time record of 52-37 over the Warhawks, including a 26-18 record on the road, and will be the first time the Mavs head to Monroe, Louisiana since May 8, 2021.
 
GAME NOTES

• Throughout nine games, Xavier Melendez currently leads the Mavs at the plate with an average of .379, grabbing 11 hits in 29 at bats. He also is the only Maverick with a triple on the season.
• Tyce Armstrong, a native of Conroe, Texas, has been on a tear slashing three home runs and seven RBI in his last three games.
• In the loss to Sam Houston, the Mavs pitching staff picked up 12 strikeouts, the most in a game this season.
• UT Arlington comes into the 2025 season projected to finish seventh place in the Western Athletic Conference, according to the preseason coaches' poll, and currently sit in fifth.
• The Mavs feature five true freshman and 23 additional newcomers on the 2025 roster.
• The Mavs were 14-9 last season when they scored first and were 13-2 when out-hitting their opponent. This season, the Mavs are 2-1 when scoring first and 2-0 when out-hitting the opponent.
• Last season, UTA held a record of 11-13 at Clay Gould Ballpark and held a record of 5-6 in their final 11 home games of the season. This season, the Mavs have opened up 3-3 at home.
• UT Arlington is scheduled to play nine games against ranked opponents this season. A three-game series with #17 Oklahoma State, a split series against #20 DBU, a split series versus #23 TCU and a matchup down in Austin against the #19 Texas Longhorns.
