ARLINGTON, TX – Two Mavericks were recognized by the Western Athletic Conference this week, as UT Arlington claimed two of the league's three Athlete of the Week awards.
Mira Ledermueller was named Setter of the Week, while
Samantha Glenn earned Libero of the Week honors, following standout performances in UTA's first conference win of the season, a 3-0 sweep over Southern Utah last Saturday.
This recognition marks the second time this season that both Ledermueller and Glenn have earned their respective WAC weekly honor.
Ledermueller orchestrated the Maverick offense with precision, finishing the match as the game's top distributor with 29 assists. On the defensive side, Glenn was a force in the backcourt, recording a match-high of 21 digs.
"Sam and Mira did a fantastic job in their respective positions this weekend," head coach Tania Schatow said, "They were a massive reason for our success, and I am really pleased they have been selected this week for these honors."

The Mavericks travel to Tarleton on Thursday for a 6.pm. CT matchup. UTA then returns to College Park Center on Saturday to host Abilene Christian at 1 p.m. for the Dig Pink Match, supporting breast cancer through the Dig Pink Foundation.
