ABILENE, Texas – UT Arlington women's golf is gearing up for the West Texas Classic in Abilene, its third tournament of the spring. The Mavericks will be back in action for the first time after a two-week hiatus.

UTA is coming off a seventh-place finish in the Texas Golf Throwdown. The Mavericks as a team were 55-over-par for the tournament, carding scores of 311-298-310– 919 across three rounds.

The lineup for UTA has one change from the first two tournaments of the spring slate. Carmen Gonzalez Lo-A-Njoe will compete in her first tournament of the spring and Nitisha Manikandesh is out of the lineup.

INSIDE THE LINEUP
Kamri Gabel

• Coming in a tie for 32nd place at the Texas Gold Throwdown, Gabel had the third-best finish for UTA at the tournament. The senior birdied seven holes across her three rounds, the most for any Maverick in the field.

Tarini Bhoga

• The second-best finisher for UTA at the Texas Golf Throwdown was Bhoga, who settled in at 26th in the field. The sophomore posted a 76-82-76– 234 for the tournament.

Chandler Browning

• Browning shot 1-over-par 37's on the front nine in each of the first two rounds of the Texas Golf Throwdown. The redshirt senior ended the tournament in a tie for 44th with a 21-over 237.

Nirjara Gulhane

• Gulhane finished one stroke in front of Browning at the Texas Golf Throwdown with rounds of 78-75-83– 236 to finish tied for 40th. It was Gulhane's best finish on the leaderboard this season.

Carmen Gonzalez Lo-A-Njoe

• This is Lo-A-Njoe's first tournament with the Mavericks since the Red Raider Invitational in September. The junior carded a 38-over 254 for the invitational.
