EL MACERO, Calif. – Day two of the El Macero Classic is in the books and UT Arlington men's golf sits in 16th place as a team after posting a 22-over-par 310. UTA entered the day tied for fourth.

Arth Sinha continues to pace the Mavericks, carding a 2-over 74 and sitting in a tie for 17th individually after also firing an even-par 72 in the first round. The freshman birdied a team-high three holes and was the only UTA player to not record a bogey on the par-4 10th hole.

Next on the leaderboard for the Mavericks is another freshman in Ajay Morris. The Avondale, Arizona-native matched Sinha's birdie total en route to a 5-over 77. Morris is now 7-over for the tournament and in a tie for 55th place.

Nicholas Lyman followed up his even-par first round with an 8-over 80 in the second. The freshman's round was highlighted by an even-par 36 on the front nine and is in a tie for 66th going into the third and final day of the tournament. 

Sitting one stroke back of Lyman, Matthew Broder followed up a first-round 74 with a 7-over 79 in the second round. The junior made par on 11 holes, the high-water mark for the team on day two. Broder enters the final round in a tie for 72nd place.

Michael Chevalier capped off the UTA lineup, shooting a 10-over 82 in the second round. The junior was one of two Mavericks to birdie the first hole and enters Sunday tied for 90th.

The tournament concludes with its third and final round beginning at 10:00 a.m. Sunday on the first and 10th tees at El Macero Country Club in El Macero, California. FOLLOW ALONG
