AUSTIN, Texas – The UT Arlington track & field team continued competition at Texas Relays on Friday, recording five personal-best performances. Freshman
Arieanna Mcpeak highlighted the day with a first-place finish in the women's triple jump.
Mcpeak posted a winning mark of 12.60m, setting a new personal best and moving to No. 20 nationally. Earlier in the day, she also recorded a personal-best jump of 6.13m to place fifth in the women's long jump.
UTA sprinters also delivered strong performances, as
Alexis Cain (11.57) and
Esther Shaba (11.67) each recorded personal bests in the women's 100-meter dash. On the men's side, Michael Nrowu clocked a personal-best of 10.75 in the 100-meter dash.
