ARLINGTON, Texas – UT Arlington women's tennis is set to wrap up the regular season with a home bout against the Collin College Cougars. The match is set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the UTA Tennis Center.

Prior to the match, UTA will hold its senior day ceremony for the Mavericks lone senior, Elizaveta Mladentseva. The ceremony will feature a brief presentation beginning at 1:45 p.m. highlighting the career and achievements of Mladentseva.

UTA (5-13) is coming off a 4-0 loss to the Abilene Christian Wildcats in a rematch after the Mavericks won the first meeting 5-2. UTA had opportunities that didn't come to fruition with three singles bouts being left unfinished in the third set.

By the time the final three singles matches were left unfinished, Natalia Gonzalez led her Court 5 match against ACU's Victoria Correa 4-3 in the final set after the pair traded 6-1 wins in the first two. Vanja Cado finished in front of the Wildcats' Alice Klinteby 2-0 on Court 4 in the final set. Cado won the second set 6-3 after dropping the first 6-2.

Court 2 was the final match left unfinished. Diana Kaibara trailed ACU's Maria Cascos 3-0 in the third set by the time the match reached its conclusion. The pair swapped 6-3 wins in the first two sets. Mladentseva, Sofia Selle and Tasnime Ahamout all dropped their singles bouts in straight sets.

This will be the third-ever meeting between the Cougars and Mavericks. UTA won the first two matchups 7-0. The bouts occurred in 2023 and 2024.

Scouting Collin College
The Cougars are 6-11 this season, but have won their previous five contests. Collin and UTA share one common opponent in Tarleton State. The Cougars fell to the Texans 7-0 on the road in early February while the Mavericks fell 4-1 at home on March 13.

Collin's last two bouts came on March 20 and 21. The Cougars first swept Jacksonville College 9-0 before handling Barton Community College 7-2.
