ARLINGTON, Texas — UT Arlington Deputy Athletic Director for Development and General Manager of Athletics Ira Childress has been named to the 2026 Silver Waves Media Top 100 Future ADs in America list.

"I'm honored and humbled to be included on this list alongside some of the best athletic administrators from around the country," Childress said. "I'm also thankful that UT Arlington Athletics is being recognized nationally. Our department has a lot of talented people who push me to be my best every day."

Childress has helped lead the Mavericks to the three highest fundraising totals in school history over the past three years. Under his leadership, UTA Athletics has continued to strengthen donor engagement and elevate philanthropic support across the department.

In addition to his role overseeing development efforts, Childress serves as the general manager of athletics and the sport administrator for the men's and women's basketball programs. He was also nominated for the National Association of Athletic Development Directors (NAADD) 2025-26 Fundraiser of the Year award.

The Silver Waves Media Top 100 Future ADs in America list recognizes senior-level Division I athletics administrators from across the country who are excelling at their respective institutions.
