ARLINGTON, Texas – UT Arlington freshman Arth Sinha is staying close to home, traveling down to Bryan to compete in the regional round of the 2026 DI Men's Golf Championship. Sinha will play as an individual in a field highlighted by the No. 1 seed Texas Longhorns, who are led by Scoreboard's No. 5 ranked player in the country, Christiaan Maas.

The Bryan Regional — hosted by Texas A&M — will be played at Traditions Club. Regional play runs May 18-20. 81 teams and 45 individuals will compete across six different regions.

The low five teams and the low individual in each region will advance to the championship finals. The finals run from May 29-June 3 at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.

Sinha punched his ticket to the NCAA Men's Golf Championship by virtue of finishing as the low individual in the 2026 Western Athletic Conference Men's Golf Championship. The freshman finished five strokes clear of second place.

The Melbourne, Florida-native is the first Maverick to compete in the NCAA men's golf championship since Paul McConnell competed as an individual in 2013.
