ABILENE, Texas - The UT Arlington women's tennis program opens the fall campaign with individual competition at the ACU Invite on Friday. 

The ACU Invite will be held September 18–20, 2026, in Abilene, Texas, hosted by Abilene Christian University.

Play will begin at 9:00 AM each day. Friday and Saturday will begin with doubles, followed by singles competition. Sunday will feature singles play to conclude the tournament.

Draws, schedules, results, and additional tournament information will be posted on the Tournament Central page throughout the weekend.

• Friday, Sept. 18 - 9 a.m. - Begins with doubles followed by singles. 
• Saturday, Sept. 19 - 9 a.m. - Begins with doubles followed by singles. 
• Sunday, Sept. 20 - 9 a.m. - Singles only. 

The Mavericks send the following student-athletes to open 2026-27 individual competition: Tasnime Ahamout, Nahia Echaide Gonzalez, Flora Farkaslaki, Diana Kaibara, Sofia Selle, and Maria Isabel Suarez.

Ahamout went 16-11 in singles during her freshman season in 2025-26 season with key victories over competition from North Texas, SF Austin, SMU, Sam Houston State, Tarleton State, and ACU.

Selle returns for her second season with UTA after big wins over competitors from Northwestern State, Texas State, Appalachian State, Abilene Christian, and UTSA a season ago.

Farkaslaki also returns for season two with UTA after posting wins over Sam Houston State, Appalachian State, ACU, and UTSA last year.

During her collegiate debut season, Kaibara defeated competitors from Oral Roberts, UTSA, Tarleton State, Butler, and ACU.

Isabel Suarez and Echaide Gonzalez make their UTA debut this weekend at the ACU Invite. Echaide Gonzalez posted a 16-3 record with LSU-Alexandria in 2025-26 before joining the Mavericks.

The ACU Invite is the first of five fall competitions for the UTA women's tennis team. The ITA Texas Regionals (Oct. 8-11), the UAC Fall Invite (Oct. 23-25), TCU Invite (Oct. 23-25), and Texas State Invite (Nov. 6-8).
