ABILENE, Texas – The UT Arlington women's tennis team wrapped up Day 2 of the ACU Invite on Saturday, with Tasnime Ahamout and Maria Isabel Suarez advancing to their respective singles finals with semifinal victories.

Ahamout claimed the opening set 6-3 and held a 1-0 lead in the second set of her semifinal match before Texas State's Kinley Van Pelt retired due to injury, sending Ahamout to the Flight C championship match. She will face Giuliana Ciangherotti of North Texas on Sunday.

Suarez rebounded after dropping the first set, 4-6, to ACU's Ann Krlljic, winning the next two sets 6-3 and 7-5 to secure a spot in the Flight D final. She will take on Polina Sleptsova of Texas Tech on Sunday.

In Flight A semifinal action, Diana Kaibara fell to SMU's Allie Bittner in straight sets, 2-6, 4-6, concluding her weekend of competition.
