LUBBOCK, Texas — The UT Arlington women's golf team closed out the Red Raider Invitational with a 22-over-par 310 in Wednesday's final round, finishing 10th at The Rawls Course.

The Mavericks completed the 54-hole tournament at 71-over 935 after rounds of 319, 306 and 310. UTA finished ahead of Prairie View A&M and Stephen F. Austin in the 12-team field.

Nirjara Gulhane led the Mavericks individually, tying for 37th at 15-over 231. Gulhane carded rounds of 78, 75 and 78, including UTA's lowest score of the second round.

Chloe De Verner followed with a 17-over 233 to finish tied for 46th. De Verner bounced back from an opening-round 82 with a 2-over 74 in the second round before closing with a 5-over 77.

Raeley Hickman tied for 50th at 19-over 235 after rounds of 80, 78 and 77.

Carmen Gonzalez Lo-A-Njoe finished 54th at 21-over 237, posting matching rounds of 79 throughout the tournament. Camilah Porras rounded out the UTA lineup in 58th at 28-over 244 after closing with a 6-over 78.

UTA's 310 in the final round was four strokes higher than its second-round 306 but nine shots better than its opening-round 319. Gulhane and Porras each shot 78 on Wednesday, while De

Verner and Hickman recorded the Mavericks' lowest final-round scores with matching 5-over 77s. Gonzalez Lo-A-Njoe finished with a 7-over 79.

BYU captured the team title at 5-over 869 after firing a 2-under 286 in the final round. Host Texas Tech finished two strokes back at 7-over 871, while New Mexico placed third at 24-over 888.

Sam Houston's Isabelle Hurrion earned individual medalist honors at 6-under 210 after rounds of 69, 71 and 70.

The Mavericks will return to action Oct. 12-14 at the Golf Iconic Classic, hosted by New Mexico State at NMSU Golf Course in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The three-day event will be UTA's third tournament of the fall season, with the Mavericks scheduled to close out their fall slate Oct. 18-20 at the Diamante Intercollegiate in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas.
