Evolved into part-time starter as a junior with ever improving offensive game... started nine games during conference season... came off bench to score career-high 21 points in 22 minutes in regular-season-ending win over Nicholls State on March 4... posted double figures for first time in career with 14 points in win over Louisiana-Monroe on Jan. 22... had only double-double of his career with 21-points, 10-rebound effort against Nicholls State... played more minutes (358) as a junior, than previous two seasons combined.
As a sophomore: Made first career start in season opener at TCU on Nov. 22 and finished with two points, four rebounds, two blocked shots and one steal... scored career-high six points against UT-Permian Basin.
As a freshman: Played in 20 games including eight of the last 10... played a season-high 12 minutes vs. Arkansas-Monticello.
High School: McDonald[apos]s High School All-America nominee in 2001-02... averaged 16.1 points, 9.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 2.0 blocks and 1.2 steals per game as a senior... named honorable mention all-state by the Texas Sportswriters Association as a senior... named to the Greater Houston All-Star Team by the Houston Chronicle... chosen the team 'Most Valuable Player' as a junior and senior at Westfield... played in the Texas vs. Oklahoma High School All-Star Game... a member of the WHS honor roll in 2000-01.
