APRIL 6
  • 2016 – Baseball: UTA defeats #5 TCU in Fort Worth for what was then its 29th win over a top-10 opponent.
APRIL 7
  • 2018 – Softball: Reagan Wright ties the program record with three home runs and establishes the program record with 8 RBI in a 12-3 Mavs' win over ULM.
  • 1999 – Baseball: Ian Gutierrez becomes the 4th player in program history to hit for the cycle.
APRIL 9
  • 2007 – Women's Basketball: Donna Caps concludes her tenure as the program's winningest coach at the time with 119 victories. 
APRIL 11
  • 2013 –  Women's Basketball: Krista Gerlich is named as the program's head coach.
APRIL 12
  • 2019 –  Baseball: Andrew Gross broke the single-season saves record with his 13th; he'd go on to finish the season with 17.
APRIL 13
  • 2015 –  Women's Golf:  Officially announced as UTA's 15th Division-I team. The Mavs would begin play in 2017-18.
APRIL 14
  • 1984 –  Baseball: Todd Cox set the single-game record by drawing six walks against Louisiana Tech. 
APRIL 15
  • 1978 –  Baseball: Rusty Jones set the single-game record by recording five stolen bases in a 13-4 win over Arkansas State in Jonesboro.
APRIL 17
  • 2015 –  Track & Field: Set three school records during competition at the prestigious Mt. SAC Relays. Emil Blomberg in the men's 3000m steeplechase, Gabriela Alfonzo in the women's 5000m and Craig Lautenslager in the men's 5000m.
APRIL 21
  • 1975 – Baseball: Dennis Vazzi becomes the third Mav to toss a no-hitter.

    2009 – Baseball: Michael Choice becomes the 6th player to hit for the cycle & Andrew Kainer extends his hit streak to 27, at the time breaking the school record.
APRIL 23
  • 2009 – Women's Tennis: Head coach Diego Benitez wins his first Coach of the Year Award after leading UTA to a perfect 11-0 record in Southland Conference play and having six Mavericks earn postseason honors.
APRIL 24
  • 2016 – Men's Tennis: Defeats South Alabama, 4-1, to earn its first Sun Belt Championship and advance to the NCAA Tournament.     
APRIL 26
  • 1992 – Baseball: Plays its final home game of the year – a 12-4 win over Sam Houston State. That represented the 26th home victory of the season, completing the best home record in program history at 26-3.
APRIL 27
  • 1962 – Men's Golf: Arnold Salinas becomes first-ever medalist when he wins the Abilene Intercollegiate with a final-round 68 as part of a four-round 278 total.
APRIL 28
  • 2018 – Track & Field: Won two events at the 109th Drake Relays, as both the men's shuttle hurdle relay team (Petter Gustafsson, Victor Fincher, Garrett Moore and Emeka Nwangwu) as well as Erik Martinsson in the 800 meters earned victories.
May 1
  • 2013 – Men's Golf: In the Mavs' only season in the Western Athletic Conference, Paul McConnell posts a final-round 69 to win the WAC Championship with a three-round 218 total.
May 6
  • 2007 – Track & Field : Claim its first conference title since 1997 on the final race of the night.
May 8
  • 2010 – Baseball : Alumnus and former Royals manager and current Marlins Third Base Coach Trey Hillman had his jersey retired.
May 11
  • 2014 – Track & Field: Men's team won the program's first-ever "triple crown" at the Sun Belt Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
May 12
  • 2015 – Track & Field: Clayton Vaughn was named U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Association's Division I Male National Athlete of the Week. Becoming the 1st-ever recipient from UTA after running one of the fastest wind-legal 100-meter dashes in NCAA history (9.93 seconds).
May 14
  • 2017 – Track & Field : For the second time in school history and the second time since joining the Sun Belt Conference in the 2013-14 season, the men claimed the conference's "triple crown" after its victory at the league's outdoor meet at Maverick Stadium. UTA scored 151 points to dominate the meet by 35 points over second-place Texas State (116).
May 15
  • 2015 – Softball: The program's first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance against Florida State. The Mavs went on to snap FSU's 27-game winning streak in a 1-0 win over the Seminoles in the first game of the NCAA Division I Regional Tournament.

  • 1999 – Baseball: Butch McBroom coaches his final game at UTA against Texas State in San Marcos. He finished with a 756-686 record.
May 19
  • 2013 – Baseball: UTA defeats Sacramento State to earn a share of the WAC regular-season title, winning the conference in the only season as part of the league.
May 22
  • 2018 – Track & Field : Clayton Vaughn was named U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Association's Division I Male National Athlete of the Week. Becoming the 1st-ever recipient from UTA after running one of the fastest wind-legal 100-meter dashes in NCAA history (9.93 seconds).
May 24
  • 2018 – Track & Field: Senior Erik Martinsson broke his own school record in the 800 meters at the NCAA West Preliminary Round to earn a return invitation to the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Martinsson crossed the line with a time of 1:47.34, which was nearly a half-second faster than his previous school standard (1:47.81) set the month prior that had eclipsed a 30-year-old UTA record. 
May 26
  • 2012 – Baseball: UTA wins the Southland Conference Championship with a 13-4 victory over Southeastern Louisiana in San Marcos. It marked the Mavs' fifth NCAA Tournament appearance, but first since 2006. 
   
  • 2019 – Track & Field: The UTA men's 4x100-meter relay and 4x400 relay each earned automatic berths into the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships after posting season-best times in their respective events. It marked the first time in school history that both relays advanced to the NCAA Championships.
May 28
  • 2016 – Track & Field: Tobi Fawehinmi broke the world Paralympic record in the triple jump to highlight the action on the final day at the NCAA West Preliminary Round. Fawehinmi posted a personal-best mark of 50 feet, 11 1/2 inches (15.53m) on his first attempt. His jump ranks as the fifth-best in school history, topping his previous best of 50 feet, 7 1/4 inches.  
May 30
  • 1998 – Men's Golf: Harry Singh completes his final round at the NCAA Championship with a program-record (for the NCAA Championship) at 5-under 283.
June 5
  • 2019 – Track & Field: UTA's 4x100m relay team smashed the school record at the 2019 NCAA Track & Field Championships and placed 11th in the event to earn Second-Team All-America accolades. The quartet of seniors – Isaian McBride, Deontre Haynes, D'Undre Mitchell and David Seastrunk – posted a time of 39.23 to smash the old school record (39.55) by nearly a quarter of a second. 
June 6
  • 2013 – Track & Field: Romain Martin finished 6th in the decathlon with a school-record and personal-best total of 8,013 points at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. By virtue of his finish, he earned first-team All-America accolades and became just the fourth Maverick ever to earn outdoor All-America honors in the same event three times and the first since Elston Cawley (200m) in 1998.
June 8
  • 2019 – Track & Field: Alexus Henry closed her standout career by becoming the most decorated female track and field athlete in school history when she tied for 12th place in the high jump at the 2019 NCAA Track & Field Championships at Mike A. Myers Stadium. It was her school-record fourth All-America honor (two indoor, two outdoor).
June 9
  • 2018 – Track & Field: Alexus Henry became the first UTA woman ever to win an individual national championship, taking the title in the women's high jump at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.
June 12
  • 2015 – Track & Field: Clayton Vaughn earned All-America honors in the 100 meters (8th place) at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships to close out his storied career as one of the most decorated athletes in school history. Vaughn finished his career as a six-time All-American, becoming at the time just the fourth UTA athlete ever to claim at least six All-America honors.
