BEFORE UTA: Was the district, area and regional champion in both the 1600 meters and 3200 meters as a senior ... Finished fifth in the 3200m at the Texas Relays with a personal record of 9:19.61 ... Won his first state medal, a bronze, in the 1600m with a time of 4:18.32 at the 2018 Class 5A State Championships ... Took sixth in state with a time of 9:40.19 in the 3200 race ... Named the 2018 All-Valley Boys Track Athlete of the Year.
