A native of Arlington, Texas (AHS), Coach White is a 1992 graduate of the University of Arkansas where he was a letterman and a member of multiple Conference and National Championship Teams as a high jumper and a hurdler. He earned an M.Ed. from East Tennessee State University where he also coached. White holds USATF Level-1 and Level-2 certifications as well as a USATF Officials Certification.
He has come “full-circle” with time coaching at UT Arlington from 1998-2006. He has a total of 25 Years as a D-1 Assistant at 5 different Universities -with stops at the University of Arkansas and Stanford University. He has coached 32 NCAA D-1 All-American’s, 200 NCAA D-1 Qualifiers, 25 Conference Team Titles, and 174 Individual Conference Champions. He’s worked with 11 Olympians from Canada, Australia, and the USA, including time with a World Champion, (2) American Champions, an American Record Holder, (5) Olympic finalists, and (2) World Junior (Commonwealth) Champions.
He spent the last 9 years as the Head Boys and Girls Track and Field Coach at a local high school, where his athletes earned 40 individual SPC titles. He currently teaches Kinesiology at UTA and TCC and owns a Collegiate Recruiting Service and Multi-Sport Speed Business. He is married to Dr. Alison White and has two sons: Hayden (19) and Weston (13).
