Arlington, Texas - UT Arlington women's tennis team will set its sights on the 2008 Wilson/ITA Southwest Regional this weekend in Forth Worth, Texas.

The Mavs are coming off a successful weekend at the 2008 Holiday Inn Astrodome Rice Classic where Senior Sara Pesic and Itzel Manzanera captured the flight four doubles' championship.

The tournament will begin on Thursday with the first two rounds of the qualifying main draw of singles. It will run through Monday when the finals for singles and doubles will take place. Competition is set to begin at 9:00 a.m. (CT) Thursday.

Teams competing in the Southwest Regional Tournament include Baylor, host TCU, Houston, Lamar, LSU, North Texas, Northwestern State, Rice, SMU, Stephen F. Austin, Texas, Texas A&M, TAMU-Corpus Christi, Texas State, Texas Tech, UL-Lafayette, UL-Monroe, UT El Paso and UT San Antonio

The Southwest Regional Tournament will conclude the UTA's fall season.
