Des Moines, Iowa - UT Arlington's Cordero Gray was the headliner for the Mavericks track and field team at the final day of the Drake Relays Saturday in Des Moines, Iowa.
Gray finished fifth in the 100 meters with a mark of 10.62. Michael Granger of Ole Miss won the event with a time of 10.48.
Gray then ran the second leg of the Mavericks sprint medley relay team which also finished fifth with a time of 3:20.10. Joining Gray on that team Andrew Pettis, Juan Lewis and Dwight Robinson.
On the women's side in the same event, UTA's team of Jasmine Walls, Shannon Reynolds, Megan Turner and Kisha Gaspard finished in 12th at 3:56.63.
In the 400 meter hurdles, Aundrea Williams ran 53.27 and finished in 19th while Turner was 22nd (64.42).
Isiah Clements finished 13th in the high jump with a mark of 6-8 ¾ (2.05 meters).
After qualifying for the finals in the 4x100 relay Friday, the Mavericks' women's team of Walls, DeAndrea Smith, Reynolds and Brittany Culbertson finished seventh with a mark of 45.87.
