ARLINGTON, Tex. - Four UT Arlington athletes found themselves at the top of the lists when the Southland Conference released its top times of the indoor season.

Cordero Gray is the only Maverick with the best times in two events, having run the 60m in 6.69 and the 200m in 21.65 at the Texas A&M Challenge.

Dwight Robinson (1:52.76 in the 800m), DeAndrea Smith (57.83 in the 400m) and Lindsey Putman (2:17.42 in the 800m) are all atop the conference as well.

In all, the Mavericks had 27 athletes qualify for the Southland Conference Indoor Championships in 34 events.

Gray, Shannon Reynolds, Romain Martin, Lionel Mungwari, Renan Palma, Jennifer Brown and Breonna Baldwin each qualified in more than one event.

In addition to the league leaders, five UTA athletes - Reynolds in the 200m, Juan Lewis in the 400m, Isiah Clements in the high jump, Pamela Vinson in the 60m and Amanda McMahon in the 3000m - currently rank second in the conference. Another - Mungwari in the 60m - ranks third.

The Mavericks compete again Saturday at the Oklahoma Sooner Open.
