The UT Arlington men's basketball plays the second game of its three-game Utah State tournament Wednesday night against Kent State.
The Mavericks dropped a 73-69 decision to the host, and future WAC partner, Aggies on Tuesday and get to play their first neutral site game of the season against the Golden Flashes.
The game will be the first ever meeting between the schools and just the third all-time for the Mavericks against a team that is currently in the Mid-American Conference.
UTA's Bo Ingram's season-high 21-point performance against Utah State lifted his scoring average into double digits and the Mavs will enter Wednesday's contest with three players scoring more than 10 points a game. LaMarcus Reed leads team with 13.3 per game while Kevin Butler averages 11.6 and Ingram is now at 11.3 a contest.
Kent State won its first game of the tournament Tuesday with a 67-58 decision over Saint Peter's, who the Mavs will play Thursday. The Flashes are led by the reining MAC Player of the Year Justin Green who averages 11.4 points and 7.2 rebounds per game.
As always the game can be heard in the Metroplex on KVCE (1160 AM) or kvceradio.com
