Track & Field enjoys Day 3 success at Texas Relays

AUSTIN, Tex. - Cordero Gray and the men's 4x100m relay team qualified for the finals Friday at the Texas Relays.

Gray clocked a 10.18 in the 100m, finishing 0.02 seconds off a personal-best time, in placing fourth in the preliminary heat. He advanced to the final heat scheduled for Saturday with his performance.

The senior sprinter was also a member of the men's relay team ran a time of 40.64, to finish eighth in the preliminaries. The team will compete in the final heat on Saturday.

Clayton Vaughn finished 14th in the 100m with a personal-best time of 10.41.

Among the other highlights, the women's 4x400 relay team finished 14th, posting a time of 3:43.29.

UT Arlington competes in the final day of the Texas Relays on Saturday.
