ARLINGTON, Texas- UT Arlington pushed 27 runs across the plate in two games to sweep Day 2 of the Maverick Invitational at Allan Saxe Field on Friday.

"They have had really good approaches at the plate," UT Arlington coach Kristie Fox said. "We have focused on taking good swings at good pitches and because of that the home runs have come. In the second game they were putting the ball in play hard and when you do that good things happen. I just want them to keep that mindset."
