ARLINGTON, Texas -- UT Arlington Athletics hosted its annual Academic Excellence Luncheon on Tuesday afternoon at College Park Center.

"This is always one of my favorite days of the year," UTA Athletic Director Jim Baker said. "The effort our student-athletes put forth in the classroom is always a source of pride for our department. Congratulations to all the award winners this year."

Super Scholar Athletes of the Year

Criteria: Student athletes who earned a 4.0 grade point average in one of the last two semesters or who maintained a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.6 for two or more semesters and who enrolled for a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Scholar Athletes of the Year

Criteria: Student athletes who earned a 3.8 grade point average in one of the last two semesters or who maintained a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.25 for two or more semesters and who enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours.
