Postgame Notes
- The Lady Maverick fell for the first time in 2017 as they went to 11-4 overall and 4-1 in conference. Troy improved to 12-4 overall and 5-0 in the SBC.
- UTA, coming off the end of a three-game road trip, returns back to College Park Center for the first time in 2017 when it hosts Louisiana on Thursday night at 2 p.m. The brief two-game homestand concludes on Saturday against ULM at 2 p.m. on ESPN3.
- After knocking down 10-of-13 3-pointers on Thursday night at South Alabama, UTA connected on just one of its first 17 attempted.
- UTA used its fifth starting lineup of the season as Crystal Allen made her first start as a Lady Maverick. Allen was a transfer from Seattle U and played in just her sixth game of the season after becoming eligible after the fall semester.
- UTA held Troy under its rebounding average as the Lady Mavs won the battle 44-41, including offensive rebounds at 22-11. Troy entered the 5th-best team in the nation in offensive rebounds.
- Rebekah VanDijk fell just short of her fourth consecutive double-double as the junior center had 10 points and nine rebounds.
- Christina Devers returned to double digits for the first time since Dec. 22 with a 16-point effort, a team best on the day.
- UTA has forced at least 20 turnovers in 11 of the last 12 games, entering 15th best at the nation at 21.9 forced a game.
