POSTGAME QUOTES
UTA HEAD COACH Scott Cross
"Niagara beat St. Bonaventure on the road, who has already beaten Maryland. So, that shows what they are capable of. We knew it was going to be tough. Their two scorers are as good as any two scorers we will face. The point guard, Dukes, played at USC. He is a high level player. No. 13 can do it inside, outside, drive it, shoot it. They had other guys step up and hit shots. It wasn't our best defensive performance but I think a lot of credit goes to them for shooting the ball well and playing with speed. They put it on top of us. But, our guys came through down the stretch and stepped up and hit some free throws. If you take out our turnovers, we played awesome offensively. We did a good job on the boards. I though big Link (Kabadyundi) gave us a big lift off the bench in the first half. Mairega (Clarke) and Kaelon (Wilson) each shot the ball really well and gave us some much-needed 3-point shooting. I am thankful we got this win.
"We are definitely glad to have a chance to finally get back home, play in front of our home fans. They certainly give us a boost on the defensive end of the floor with their energy. That will help us out tremendously."
